2. ‘Time to Light the Fuse’

3. ‘The Biggest Bang’

Here you will discover what you can outsource to a Virtual Assistant, how to create an outsourcing list and how much money outsourcing could save you.

Free Stuff

‘Bigger Bang’ Starter List – this is a list you compile to establish what tasks you can outsource to a Virtual Assistant.

This list can start by noting any of the following:

  • All the daily tasks you need to achieve in a day.  The ones you don’t get around to are the ones you outsource.
  • All the mundane tasks you hate doing.  These are the tasks you outsource.
  • All the tasks you know should be done but you’re not getting around to doing.  Again these are the tasks you outsource.
  • All the tasks you love to do.  These are the tasks you try and keep and you outsource the rest.
  • All the tasks you have to do that stop you doing what you want to do.  These are the tasks you try and outsource.

‘Bigger Bang’ Comparison Template – once you’ve compiled your list of outsourceable tasks, you then need to give yourself an hourly rate.  How much is your time worth?  It’s really worth working out, because your time is probably more valuable than you think and is what generates the income to run your business.  Once you’ve got an approximate hourly rate, have a look around at what Virtual Assistants are charging.  Depending on where they are in the country (or world) and what skills/experience the VA has to offer, Virtual Assistants can charge anywhere between £10 & £40 per hour (as with most things…you get what you pay for!).  A lot of VA’s do have their pricing and packages on their website so it is worth shopping around, but if you’re looking to keep your VA local and for the benefit of this comparison, you could work on an average rate of £20/25 p/h.

Look at your list of outsourceable tasks.  How long does it take you to complete each task and how much money is that?  What’s that compared to a VA’s cost?  Bear in mind the VA may be able to do the task quicker than you!
